Allicin and Alliin
Garlic is known for its beneficial cardiovascular support. Allicin and many of its derivatives have been reported in the scientific literature to be immune system supportive. Fresh Garlic juice and freeze-dried Garlic juice powder both exhibit high, broad-spectrum immune system support in the intestine.*
Garlic is well known for its support of healthy cholesterol levels.*
Alliin and allicin are also involved (along with other compounds) in the proven antioxidant effects of Garlic. This effect is dose-dependent, as excessive concentrations of allicin may act as pro-oxidants.*
Cayenne
Many herbalists believe that Cayenne is the most useful and valuable herb in the herb kingdom, not only for the entire digestive system, but also for the heart and circulatory system. It acts as a catalyst and increases the effectiveness of other herbs when used with them. It is a very high source of Vitamins A & C, has the complete B complexes, and is very rich in organic calcium and potassium, which is one of the reasons it is good for the heart.*
Actions: Stimulant, carminative, sialagogue.
Indications: Cayenne is the most useful of the systemic stimulants. It stimulates blood flow, strengthening the heart, arteries, capillaries and nerves. A general tonic, it is also specific for both circulatory and digestive system.*
Niacin
Niacin is well known for supporting healthy cholesterol and triglyceride levels.*
